Gossip

- Did you hear, Mary's getting married!
- What, really? I always thought she's too good to settle with one man. Always needing a harem.
- Susan, that's mean! I'm happy for her. When is the wedding?
- It's in June.
- Who's she marrying? She's always been so popular and there are lots of guys interested in her, but she doesn't really notice it.
- I have always been a little jealous about that, because she really has everything and she doesn't seem to even realize. She's got looks, family, fortune, love...
- I think she's just a bitch who steals other's fiancés.
- Susan! Let it go already. They were never together and it's not her fault that Matt's a prick who decides to fall in love with her, while he still has a girlfriend.
- I still hate her.
- No, you shouldn't. Mary's the kindest person there is. She helped me and my brother to pay our father's hospital costs. It's thanks to her that my father's still alive.
- Oh, what a saint. We all could have helped you guys, but she was the first one. She only did it to get into your brother's pants.
- That's not true! I don't believe you.
- Whatever. So Jennifer, who did you say she's going to marry?
- I didn't. Try to guess.
- Matt? No, you are not that cruel that you'd make me guess that. Hmm. Maybe that police dude. I feel sorry for him. He really deserves better than her.
- Susan!
- Emily! You shouldn't be so surprised. You know I'm vindictive.
- Relax guys. Mary isn't going to marry him. I think the police dude is now dating Mary's sister.
- Wow! That's almost like incest!
- Oh, shut up Susan! So Emily, what do you think, who's the future husband?
- Well, it isn't my brother, I know that at least. Is it that ex-jail guy, that rough-looking, really scary man? With all the tattoos. Oh, it's so romantic, how somebody like that would show his loved one his gentle side and be caring. I mean, I personally found him really scary, but then I'm not the one he's in love with.
- He's really scary looking. I didn't want to be alone with him in the same room, he looks so intimidating. But he's nice to look at when he isn't glaring at you.
- I totally agree, but he isn't the one Mary's marrying. I am pretty sure he's back in jail. After their break up, he got jealous of some guy who tried to hit on Mary and attacked him.
- OH MY GOD! That's why my brother's in hospital. He never told me what happened.
- That's a lot of drama.

- Back to the topic at hand. Mary's marrying Sean, her childhood friend.
- Sean? That cool, brooding type? Every girl in high school had a crush on him at least once in those three years.
- You too? What about you Emily? … Oh, you're blushing, so that pretty much tells us the answer.
- Um... well yes, I liked him.
- I thought he's gay, or something, because he never seemed to have any interest in the girls.
- Maybe it's because he was in love with Mary all the time.
- I don't believe that. He's probably just marrying Mary to hide his gayness. Ha, that'd be hilarious.
- Actually, I can believe both of the theories.
- So from the policeman, criminal, ex-friend's ex-fiancé, friend's brother and the childhood friend, she chooses a gay one. If she hadn't toyed with the other men, she could have saved lots of heartbreak and drama. But then again, Mary just loves drama especially when it revolves around her.
- Susan! Don't be mean. Mary's nothing like that! You should be happy for your friend, that she's found love.
- EX-FRIEND! And you two won't be seeing me at her wedding.
- Actually, I know that she's going to ask all of us to be her bridesmaids.
- You have gotta be kidding me! She must love drama even more than I thought if she is ready to ruin her wedding by making me attend!
- Susan!
